In a world that’s constantly changing, adaptation is crucial. According to venture investor Natalie Fratto, the single most important determinant when she assesses start-up founders is their adaptability.

“I subscribe to the belief that adaptability itself is a form of intelligence, and our adaptability quotient, or AQ, is something that can be measured, tested, and improved,” she said, in her recent TED Talk.

According to Fratto, the strength and number of scenarios you can conjure when you force your brain to picture multiple possibilities can tell you a lot about your adaptability quotient.
