Even if you don’t regularly settle in with a book, most of us spend hours a day reading. Emails, blogs, reports, online news … it’s all part of our daily routine. We know books are valuable, we just need to find the time to read them. They are brain food that helps broaden our professional and interpersonal skills, and increase our knowledge.


How long has that novel been sitting on your nightstand? Do you have a stack of books that you just can’t seem to get to? There are ways we can learn to read faster and absorb more information from the material.


According to Jim Kwik, it comes down to the Three Rs: Reading, Relating and W(r)iting. And it can have a big impact even if the reading isn’t for pleasure – one hour per day of reduced reading time can free up nine 40-hour work weeks per year. Who wouldn’t want two extra months of productivity?
