Welcome to our Business Education Network, we have developed the Pulse as a means to deliver complimentary, high-level business information to our clients, prospects, and personal contacts, helping them keep a finger on the pulse of the ever-changing, dynamic business world of today.
For many of us, our smartphones are our lifelines. They’re not just for making phone calls anymore; in fact, most of us don’t spend much time talking on them at all. They are our day planners, our cameras, and our notepads. We do our banking through them and order our prescriptions. We whip them out in restaurants, at concerts and in business meetings. Our phones know just about everything about us.
Despite the amount of sensitive data contained on them, and the number of sensitive situations we bring them into, we don’t often put much thought in security risks associated with our devices. In this issue of the Pulse, we share a Fast Company video outlining how hackers are using our phones to steal our personal information and commit corporate espionage.
