Shannon Mischler and her husband, a public health scientist, volunteer with Global Links, a nonprofit dedicated to improving health in communities with need. For 35+ years, Global Links have been sharing surplus rescued from the US healthcare system to support health programs globally and locally.


In June 2025, Shannon Mischler, a member of United Way's Women United, volunteered at the United Way Build A Bike Event. During the event over 600 bikes were assembled and gifted to young people in the City of Pittsburgh.


Mary Griesser was recently a part of Christ Church Charlotte's 37th Habitat for Humanity build. Way to go, Mary!


Jeremy Hellman and Midlothian, VA Rotary joined grant recipient RAMPS RVA to help build an access ramp that will enable a local resident to have a much better ability to come and go.


Partick attended the 16th Annual Bentonville Tiger Football Open - a fantastic event supporting an even better cause. He supports as a Gold Sponsor through Schooley Mitchell of Northwest Arkansas, and to stands alongside other great local businesses rallying around Bentonville students.


Patrick Eggleston participated in the 16th Annual Butterflies & Blooms Luncheon hosted by Saving Grace NWA - an event supporting young women aging out of foster care and facing homelessness. 1,400 guests came together at the Rogers Convention Center, raising over $167,100 (and counting) to help provide mentorship, stability, and hope for these women.

Together, we safely shredded thousands of pounds of sensitive documents and responsibly disposed of harmful waste, protecting identities and the environment. Rob spoke at the 2025 PGA Atlantic Business & Education Conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The conference consisted of over 65 Atlantic Canada PGA professionals, many of who are responsible for running golf courses throughout
Atlantic Canada.


Jason Fish attended the 2025 AUSA Global Force Symposium & Exposition. The event examined the Army’s modernization strategy with an emphasis on maintaining an over-match in the context of great power competition. This symposium played a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Army and its relationship with the defense industrial base.


Last month, a referral partner and I hosted a seminar focused on innovative strategies for increasing revenue and reducing costs. We had 12 engaged attendees, and I’m thrilled to share that one of them—a non-profit—signed a service agreement with me. It was a rewarding experience, and given its success, we’re excited to team up again this fall for another session!

This year, we’re thrilled to share that Schooley Mitchell donated 1,568 lbs of food to the Stratford House of Blessing Food Bank and The Food Bank of Waterloo Region! A HUGE thank you to our staff for their generous donations. This is going to help so many people this holiday season.


John James recently volunteered at a local school, delivering a presentation about Egypt. He conducted nine sessions, each with two classes.


Rod Holter is a BOD Member of Guiding Paws ICT. They were recognized on the local Wichita television channel by receiving a donation from DeVaughn James Law Firm.


This Veterans Day, Ryan, Keara, and Maci from Schooley Mitchell dedicated their time to the Byron Saunders Foundation, helping package meals for the annual Thanksgiving Meals for Families in Need initiative. By joining this effort, the team contributed to ensuring that families in need can celebrate the holiday with a special meal, embodying the spirit of giving and community care.


Brian and Linda O’Sullivan along with three other members of their Corvette club present a donation to Sarah Gilmore. Sarah’s non-profit organization was selected to receive the proceeds from the annual Car Show.Pathways to Success in Georgetown, Delaware,strives to prepare youth,adults,and families for successful lives through mentoring and education.


Jason Fish had an exhibitor booth during Hunstiville's annual 2024 Space & Missile Defense Symposium. The symposium is the leading educational, professional development, and networking event in the space and missile defense community. It's widely attended by leaders and professionals from the United States and our allies around the world.


It’s that time of the year again. Cub Scout Fundraising!! This year the Fish family has two boys in Cub Scouts sling’n popcorn. Each Scout needs to raise a $1,000 to help fund their membership, trips, and adventures throughout the year.


Youssef attended a Sleep Nation event to learn more about the Robert Speck Chartwell Retirement Residences and Holjevac Financial Group!


Youssef joined Angie Giusto at the Amica Peel Village Retirement Home, one of the newest of its kind in Brampton, Canada. Youssef was invited to attend presentations, bringing together various backgrounds and skill sets. Overall, it was a great opportunity to learn about how Amica supports its community and aging population!


Youssef was invited by Caring Touch Home Health Care Inc. to attend their successful Open House, in partnership with Golden Transitions Consulting. It was inspiring to see the dedication to the senior community through the Flourish Wellness & Enrichment Program! Their commitment to empowering those with dementia is outstanding, kudos to both organizations for their incredible work!


In celebration of US Independence Day, Francisco and his family took part in the Freedom 5K in support of several US Veteran non-profit organizations in Cape Coral, Florida. The Freedom 5K was hosted by the local Chamber of Commerce, and Francisco helped sponsor the event. It was a great day to do some running!

Brian and Lindas’ Corvette club holds a car show each year and donates the profits to a local charity. Both were on the steering committee and helped present the check to Shepherds Office, a local homeless shelter and community kitchen.


March 22nd, Rod Holter and 1,000 other men attended a conference where Harrison Butker, Kicker for the World Champion Kansas City Chiefs and David Henrie, renown actor and writer were in attendance at St, Catherine of Siena Catholic Church where they were the main speakers. Harrison is pictured on the left end and David on the right end and Rod is in the middle. Yes, we are now on a first name basis.

Guiding Paws, ICT is a non-profit in Wichita, KS that brings awareness to the Visually Impaired. Recently there was a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the new office for Guiding Paws, ICT. Michael and members of BNI Escarpment Entrepreneurs recently had the honour of volunteering with Food for Life at their food market in Milton ON by sorting and organizing non-perishable foods as well as prepping their market for the upcoming hydroponics to be installed.

With the passing of our coworker, Meagan Ellis this past June, a donation drive was organized to help her family care for her beloved dog, Chloe. We raised a total of $1000.00 for Chloe's care. A huge thank you goes out to those who donated!


Adam and a team of 5 others took on "The Crucible," a 70-mile, 3-day hike through the Appalachian Mountains in Pennsylvania to raise money for the Veteran's Leadership Program. Great Thanks to some Schooley Mitchell Franchisees, his team contributed nearly $15,000 to the cause, which helps veterans leaving the service and veterans having challenges adapting back into the civilian world.




Michael had the pleasure of volunteering and sponsoring at the 13th annual Charity Poker Run hosted by Halton Auto Service & Transmission in support of the Milton District Hospital Foundation. Over $30,000 was raised for life saving equipment to be purchased for the local hospital


Keith Crockett and Sanjay Tyagi jointly attended a trade show at Colorado Convention Center. The Big Gear Show is a 4-day show with 2 days focused on B2B sales and 2 days of product showcase for consumers. Keith and Sajay had a booth during the B2B portion of the show.

Lee Balaklaw’s BNI Commonwealth Chapter participates in Build a Bed activities each year, for needy children. His BNI chapter alone typically builds 10 beds per year but the entire area group builds upward of 150 beds for local children in need.


Schooley Mitchell Strategic-Partner Fred Carter recently had the pleasure of presenting to one of the largest Rotary Clubs in his area, the Rotary Club of Akron. He gave a talk about his background and dedication to service, as well as how Schooley Mitchell can help the business owners in the room increase their profitability and how that, in turn, would increase the funds the club would have available through consistent referral appreciation donations.


Michael recently helped support the Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Basketball Tournament held at The Ark of St. Sabina Church where Rev. Michael Pfleger is the Pastor. This event offers a safe & fun environment for inner-city youth to compete and promote sportsmanship and health, while honoring the legacy of MLK.

CPT Tania Cheng, US Army, was one of two active service members to be invited by the city of Galveston to the 2nd Annual Pearl Harbor Veterans Dinner at the Sea Star Base. The benefit dinner supported the South East Regional Veterans Effort and WWII veterans that are native to the City of Galveston.


At the 2022 Owen Sound & District Chamber of Commerce Gala, Schooley Mitchell’s Miguel Cardenas received the award for Entrepreneur of the Year. Congratulations, Miguel!

Marline and Germaine recently volunteered at the 39th annual Duluth Fall Festival, a true community event run by over 300 volunteers. It is one of the most successful festivals in the southeast, with attendance consistently upwards of 100,000.


Axel Nafthal Joined fellow Rotarian Greg Coldwell in The annual “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes”. It’s an international men’s march/fundraiser to stop rape, sexual assault, and gender violence.


On Aug 27 the Dads of Milton (DoMs) hosted the “Step Up to the Plate 5” event in support of Nelson the Giant and their #Thumpoutbullying campaign. Michael was busy shagging fly balls in the outfield like a kid again at the annual Home Run Derby event. Over $14,000 was raised for this amazing cause.


Numana is a non-profit organization located in El Dorado, KS. On August 27, 8 volunteer teams worked to package and box meals for Ukrainians in need. In just 2 hours, over 100 cases were assembled which will feed 21,600 people. Numana will organize a packaging event for any business or charity across the United States. Kevin participated in an online Women in Business function with his Chamber of Commerce, and the president of Fulfill, Kim Guadagno, mentioned these products were very much needed since they are not food stamp eligible.




Axel Nafthal and his wife Maureen took part in a "Walk for Apraxia" fundraiser on August 29th with their two daughters Alana and Errinn, and grandsons Lochlin and Arlo. Beautiful day and lots of fun for a worthy cause!


Schooley Mitchell consultant Sanjay Tyagi is a volunteer pilot with Colorado Wing-Civil Air Patrol (U.S. Air Force Auxiliary). He recently flew from Centennial to Walsenburg and Durango in Colorado to deliver Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical professionals during the Covid-19 crisis.


Schooley Mitchell consultant William McKissock had his head shaved on March 8 to support kids fighting cancer. William raised over $700 for this very worthy cause, with the fundraiser raising over $13,000 collectively.


Kelly Ross recently attended the ribbon cutting for Smoothie King in Flower Mound, TX, hosted by the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce. The franchise owner, Lawrence, is originally from New Orleans and has dreamt of owning this franchise since he was 25 years old.

Brian and Linda were part of a team that filled 10,000 boxes of holiday food (both Thanksgiving and Christmas boxes were filled) for local needy families who were unable to afford the full meal.

In addition to the free food and drinks, over 3000 students were given school supplies, immunizations, eye-screenings and many other necessities they needed to begin their school year.

Mickey Pendergast recently sponsored a hole at the Hole in One Shootout to benefit Collicutt Siding Golf Club’s junior golf program. Its program is one of the largest in Canada with over 1,000 kids participating each week and they are currently raising money to build a 3-hole golf course exclusively for youth.


Axel Nafthal had a fantastic time with his Schooley Mitchell team at the Rotary Golf for Kids, an annual fundraiser that raises money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Annapolis Valley and for Rotary Sunrise. It was a beautiful day for golf and the turnout was great!


William McKissock and his BNI team recently took part in the 9th Annual Steinbrenner Football Golf Tournament in support of his son Callum's high school football team!


Axel Nafthal was pleased to accept the 2016 Rotary International President's Citation on behalf of the Rotary Club of New Minas Sunrise for his club's achievements in 2016. Zach Madrigal recently took part in a Community Clean Up with the Neighbors Helping Neighbors of Scottsdale. Great job Zach!


100 Men Who Cook for Kids showcased 100 men from the Midland’s and their favorite recipes. Patrick McElderry was one of the 100 who cooked their favorite dish for several hundred attendees to raise money for EdVenture’s youth development programs.


Tom Smith, president of the southwest chapter of the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association presented a donation to Animal Friends, a no-kill shelter in Pittsburgh. Marc Schwalb is a proud member of both organizations.


Axel Nafthal, currently serving as this year’s president of the Rotary Club of New Minas, was presented with rotary banners from the Rotary Club of Albuquerque. The club members from New Mexico were visiting the New Minas district on a Rotary Friendship Exchange.

Travis McElroy (5th from right) spent a weekend helping out with the KIT (Kern Innovation & Technology) Community at their Tech Fighting The Wildfires application development ("hackathon") weekend. Travis was very inspired by the five teams that formed to develop live applications to help with Disaster Relief and Wildfire Response Support.

Dave Tankersley recently volunteered to be a judge at his local high school’s inaugural entrepreneurial arts and community projects competition. Dave enlisted the help of four fellow BNI members to assist with judging, and the students did a great job creating and presenting their impressive projects.


Jerry Sarno recently participated in the annual Michiana Shop & Greet for the third year. He was the Lead Shark in the “Pitch to the Sharks” competition, where 24 entrepreneurs vied for $250 in grand prize money by giving their best elevator pitch to panel of 5 prominent business people.


Marc Schwalb and his wife Amy recently represented Animal Friends by volunteering at the Healthy Pet Day fair in Wexford, Pennsylvania. The pair operated the information booth, and helped raised funds for Animal Friends by playing games like Plinko and raffling off baskets full of goodies.

Neil Hostein was recently recognized for ten years of service with the Canadian Cancer Society. During Daffodil Month in April, Neil canvases door to door and sells daffodils outside of his local bank or supermarket to help raise funds for this important cause.


Dennis has been involved in high-level baseball for most his life as a player and coach, including time spent coaching the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks Men’s Baseball team.


Marla doesn’t have a dog ... or does she? Marla supports the local Humane Society and volunteered during its recent fundraising dog walk, serving up hot dogs to hungry participants.

This year, we’re thrilled to share that Schooley Mitchell donated 1,568 lbs of food to the Stratford House of Blessing Food Bank and The Food Bank of Waterloo Region! A HUGE thank you to our staff for their generous donations. This is going to help so many people this holiday season.



John James recently volunteered at a local school, delivering a presentation about Egypt. He conducted nine sessions, each with two classes.



Rod Holter is a BOD Member of Guiding Paws ICT. They were recognized on the local Wichita television channel by receiving a donation from DeVaughn James Law Firm.



This Veterans Day, Ryan, Keara, and Maci from Schooley Mitchell dedicated their time to the Byron Saunders Foundation, helping package meals for the annual Thanksgiving Meals for Families in Need initiative. By joining this effort, the team contributed to ensuring that families in need can celebrate the holiday with a special meal, embodying the spirit of giving and community care.



Brian and Linda O’Sullivan along with three other members of their Corvette club present a donation to Sarah Gilmore. Sarah’s non-profit organization was selected to receive the proceeds from the annual Car Show.Pathways to Success in Georgetown, Delaware,strives to prepare youth,adults,and families for successful lives through mentoring and education.


Jason Fish had an exhibitor booth during Hunstiville’s annual 2024 Space & Missile Defense Symposium. The symposium is the leading educational, professional development, and networking event in the space and missile defense community. It’s widely attended by leaders and professionals from the United States and our allies around the world.



It’s that time of the year again. Cub Scout Fundraising!! This year the Fish family has two boys in Cub Scouts sling’n popcorn. Each Scout needs to raise a $1,000 to help fund their membership, trips, and adventures throughout the year.



Youssef attended a Sleep Nation event to learn more about the Robert Speck Chartwell Retirement Residences and Holjevac Financial Group!



Youssef joined Angie Giusto at the Amica Peel Village Retirement Home, one of the newest of its kind in Brampton, Canada. Youssef was invited to attend presentations, bringing together various backgrounds and skill sets. Overall, it was a great opportunity to learn about how Amica supports its community and aging population!



Youssef was invited by Caring Touch Home Health Care Inc. to attend their successful Open House, in partnership with Golden Transitions Consulting. It was inspiring to see the dedication to the senior community through the Flourish Wellness & Enrichment Program! Their commitment to empowering those with dementia is outstanding, kudos to both organizations for their incredible work!



In celebration of US Independence Day, Francisco and his family took part in the Freedom 5K in support of several US Veteran non-profit organizations in Cape Coral, Florida. The Freedom 5K was hosted by the local Chamber of Commerce, and Francisco helped sponsor the event. It was a great day to do some running!



Youssef was recently invited to speak at Cannabiziac’s Get In The Biz event in Toronto. He spoke about Schooley Mitchell’s unique ability to aid new businesses with reducing costs and optimize your common expenses

Michael and members of BNI Escarpment Entrepreneurs recently had the honour of volunteering with Food for Life at their food market in Milton ON by sorting and organizing non-perishable foods as well as prepping their market for the upcoming hydroponics to be installed.

George DeMambro recently attended The East of the River 5 Towns Chamber annual Golf outing with Paul Franco and his dad, soon to be clients.



With the passing of our coworker, Meagan Ellis this past June, a donation drive was organized to help her family care for her beloved dog, Chloe. We raised a total of $1000.00 for Chloe’s care. A huge thank you goes out to those who donated!



Adam and a team of 5 others took on “The Crucible,” a 70-mile, 3-day hike through the Appalachian Mountains in Pennsylvania to raise money for the Veteran’s Leadership Program. Great Thanks to some Schooley Mitchell Franchisees, his team contributed nearly $15,000 to the cause, which helps veterans leaving the service and veterans having challenges adapting back into the civilian world.






Michael had the pleasure of volunteering and sponsoring at the 13th annual Charity Poker Run hosted by Halton Auto Service & Transmission in support of the Milton District Hospital Foundation. Over $30,000 was raised for life saving equipment to be purchased for the local hospital



Keith Crockett and Sanjay Tyagi jointly attended a trade show at Colorado Convention Center. The Big Gear Show is a 4-day show with 2 days focused on B2B sales and 2 days of product showcase for consumers. Keith and Sajay had a booth during the B2B portion of the show.

Lee Balaklaw’s BNI Commonwealth Chapter participates in Build a Bed activities each year, for needy children. His BNI chapter alone typically builds 10 beds per year but the entire area group builds upward of 150 beds for local children in need.



Schooley Mitchell Strategic-Partner Fred Carter recently had the pleasure of presenting to one of the largest Rotary Clubs in his area, the Rotary Club of Akron. He gave a talk about his background and dedication to service, as well as how Schooley Mitchell can help the business owners in the room increase their profitability and how that, in turn, would increase the funds the club would have available through consistent referral appreciation donations.



Michael recently helped support the Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Basketball Tournament held at The Ark of St. Sabina Church where Rev. Michael Pfleger is the Pastor. This event offers a safe & fun environment for inner-city youth to compete and promote sportsmanship and health, while honoring the legacy of MLK.

CPT Tania Cheng, US Army, was one of two active service members to be invited by the city of Galveston to the 2nd Annual Pearl Harbor Veterans Dinner at the Sea Star Base. The benefit dinner supported the South East Regional Veterans Effort and WWII veterans that are native to the City of Galveston.



At the 2022 Owen Sound & District Chamber of Commerce Gala, Schooley Mitchell’s Miguel Cardenas received the award for Entrepreneur of the Year. Congratulations, Miguel!

Marline and Germaine recently volunteered at the 39th annual Duluth Fall Festival, a true community event run by over 300 volunteers. It is one of the most successful festivals in the southeast, with attendance consistently upwards of 100,000.



Axel Nafthal Joined fellow Rotarian Greg Coldwell in The annual “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes”. It’s an international men’s march/fundraiser to stop rape, sexual assault, and gender violence.



On Aug 27 the Dads of Milton (DoMs) hosted the “Step Up to the Plate 5” event in support of Nelson the Giant and their #Thumpoutbullying campaign. Michael was busy shagging fly balls in the outfield like a kid again at the annual Home Run Derby event. Over $14,000 was raised for this amazing cause.



Numana is a non-profit organization located in El Dorado, KS. On August 27, 8 volunteer teams worked to package and box meals for Ukrainians in need. In just 2 hours, over 100 cases were assembled which will feed 21,600 people. Numana will organize a packaging event for any business or charity across the United States. Michael Baznick recently had the honor of helping sort food donations at the myFM All Hands on Deck Food Drive. The one day drive raised almost $10K in food and donations to feed needy kids in the Halton area.

Kevin O’Shaughnessy recently donated some feminine hygiene products to Fulfill NJ.
Kevin participated in an online Women in Business function with his Chamber of Commerce, and the president of Fulfill, Kim Guadagno, mentioned these products were very much needed since they are not food stamp eligible.






Axel Nafthal and his wife Maureen took part in a “Walk for Apraxia” fundraiser on August 29th with their two daughters Alana and Errinn, and grandsons Lochlin and Arlo. Beautiful day and lots of fun for a worthy cause!



Schooley Mitchell consultant Sanjay Tyagi is a volunteer pilot with Colorado Wing-Civil Air Patrol (U.S. Air Force Auxiliary). He recently flew from Centennial to Walsenburg and Durango in Colorado to deliver Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical professionals during the Covid-19 crisis.



Schooley Mitchell consultant William McKissock had his head shaved on March 8 to support kids fighting cancer. William raised over $700 for this very worthy cause, with the fundraiser raising over $13,000 collectively.



Kelly Ross recently attended the ribbon cutting for Smoothie King in Flower Mound, TX, hosted by the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce. The franchise owner, Lawrence, is originally from New Orleans and has dreamt of owning this franchise since he was 25 years old.



George DeMambro recently participated as a judge for the Westfield High School science fair.



Brian and Linda recently volunteered for packing food boxes for an event called “Thanksgiving for Thousands” sponsored by Mountaire Farms in Selbyville, DE. Brian and Linda were part of a team that filled 10,000 boxes of holiday food (both Thanksgiving and Christmas boxes were filled) for local needy families who were unable to afford the full meal.

Schooley Mitchell consultant Tim Ross recently worked with the Summit Club of Flower Mound. The group served 7200 hotdogs and drinks to participants of the Lewisville ISD Back to School Fair. In addition to the free food and drinks, over 3000 students were given school supplies, immunizations, eye-screenings and many other necessities they needed to begin their school year.

Michelle Burlison recently took part in the Esperanza 5K in support of Juntos Servimos, along with her husband and two of her children. Her 16-year-old placed third in his age group and her 12-year-old took first place. Great job, guys!

Mickey Pendergast recently sponsored a hole at the Hole in One Shootout to benefit Collicutt Siding Golf Club’s junior golf program. Its program is one of the largest in Canada with over 1,000 kids participating each week and they are currently raising money to build a 3-hole golf course exclusively for youth.

William McKissock and his BNI team recently took part in the 9th Annual Steinbrenner Football Golf Tournament in support of his son Callum’s high school football team!



Axel Nafthal was pleased to accept the 2016 Rotary International President’s Citation on behalf of the Rotary Club of New Minas Sunrise for his club’s achievements in 2016. 100 Men Who Cook for Kids showcased 100 men from the Midland’s and their favorite recipes. Patrick McElderry was one of the 100 who cooked their favorite dish for several hundred attendees to raise money for EdVenture’s youth development programs.


Tom Smith, president of the southwest chapter of the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association presented a donation to Animal Friends, a no-kill shelter in Pittsburgh. Marc Schwalb is a proud member of both organizations.



Axel Nafthal, currently serving as this year’s president of the Rotary Club of New Minas, was presented with rotary banners from the Rotary Club of Albuquerque. The club members from New Mexico were visiting the New Minas district on a Rotary Friendship Exchange.



Patrick McElderry was one of the sponsors at the Wild Mayhem Golf Tournament to benefit the Special Olympics and breast cancer research.



Travis McElroy (5th from right) spent a weekend helping out with the KIT (Kern Innovation & Technology) Community at their Tech Fighting The Wildfires application development (“hackathon”) weekend. Travis was very inspired by the five teams that formed to develop live applications to help with Disaster Relief and Wildfire Response Support.

Dave Tankersley recently volunteered to be a judge at his local high school’s inaugural entrepreneurial arts and community projects competition. Jerry Sarno recently participated in the annual Michiana Shop & Greet for the third year. He was the Lead Shark in the “Pitch to the Sharks” competition, where 24 entrepreneurs vied for $250 in grand prize money by giving their best elevator pitch to panel of 5 prominent business people.



Marc Schwalb and his wife Amy recently represented Animal Friends by volunteering at the Healthy Pet Day fair in Wexford, Pennsylvania. The pair operated the information booth, and helped raised funds for Animal Friends by playing games like Plinko and raffling off baskets full of goodies.
