Volunteering in Support of The Children’s Center Utah
Lisa recently volunteered at the Shine Gala. This was a fundraiser for the Children’s Center Utah, a mental healthcare facility for children under seven and their families who have been affected a traumatic event. The service is provided to families who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford this support. The Shine Gala officially announced a total donation total of $1,100,000!

Shannon Mischler and her husband, a public health scientist, volunteer with Global Links, a nonprofit dedicated to improving health in communities with need. For 35+ years, Global Links have been sharing surplus rescued from the US healthcare system to support health programs globally and locally.
United Way Build A Bike
In June 2025, Shannon Mischler, a member of United Way's Women United, volunteered at the United Way Build A Bike Event. During the event over 600 bikes were assembled and gifted to young people in the City of Pittsburgh.

Supporting Saving Grace NWA at the Butterflies & Blooms Luncheon
Patrick Eggleston participated in the 16th Annual Butterflies & Blooms Luncheon hosted by Saving Grace NWA - an event supporting young women aging out of foster care and facing homelessness. 1,400 guests came together at the Rogers Convention Center, raising over $167,100 (and counting) to help provide mentorship, stability, and hope for these women.

We had 12 engaged attendees, and I’m thrilled to share that one of them—a non-profit—signed a service agreement with me. In celebration of US Independence Day, Francisco and his family took part in the Freedom 5K in support of several US Veteran non-profit organizations in Cape Coral, Florida. The Freedom 5K was hosted by the local Chamber of Commerce, and Francisco helped sponsor the event. It was a great day to do some running!

March 22nd, Rod Holter and 1,000 other men attended a conference where Harrison Butker, Kicker for the World Champion Kansas City Chiefs and David Henrie, renown actor and writer were in attendance at St, Catherine of Siena Catholic Church where they were the main speakers. Harrison is pictured on the left end and David on the right end and Rod is in the middle. Yes, we are now on a first name basis.

Caring for Chloe
With the passing of our coworker, Meagan Ellis this past June, a donation drive was organized to help her family care for her beloved dog, Chloe. We raised a total of $1000.00 for Chloe's care. A huge thank you goes out to those who donated!
The Crucible
Adam and a team of 5 others took on "The Crucible," a 70-mile, 3-day hike through the Appalachian Mountains in Pennsylvania to raise money for the Veteran's Leadership Program. Great Thanks to some Schooley Mitchell Franchisees, his team contributed nearly $15,000 to the cause, which helps veterans leaving the service and veterans having challenges adapting back into the civilian world.

Lee Balaklaw’s BNI Commonwealth Chapter participates in Build a Bed activities each year, for needy children. His BNI chapter alone typically builds 10 beds per year but the entire area group builds upward of 150 beds for local children in need.

CPT Tania Cheng, US Army, was one of two active service members to be invited by the city of Galveston to the 2nd Annual Pearl Harbor Veterans Dinner at the Sea Star Base. The benefit dinner supported the South East Regional Veterans Effort and WWII veterans that are native to the City of Galveston.

Step Up to the Plate 5” event in support of Nelson the Giant
On Aug 27 the Dads of Milton (DoMs) hosted the “Step Up to the Plate 5” event in support of Nelson the Giant and their #Thumpoutbullying campaign. Michael was busy shagging fly balls in the outfield like a kid again at the annual Home Run Derby event. Over $14,000 was raised for this amazing cause.
Feeding Ukraine - Numana
Numana is a non-profit organization located in El Dorado, KS. On August 27, 8 volunteer teams worked to package and box meals for Ukrainians in need. In just 2 hours, over 100 cases were assembled which will feed 21,600 people. Numana will organize a packaging event for any business or charity across the United States. Colorado Wing-Civil Air Patrol
Schooley Mitchell consultant Sanjay Tyagi is a volunteer pilot with Colorado Wing-Civil Air Patrol (U.S. Air Force Auxiliary). He recently flew from Centennial to Walsenburg and Durango in Colorado to deliver Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical professionals during the Covid-19 crisis.
St. Baldrick's Foundation
Schooley Mitchell consultant William McKissock had his head shaved on March 8 to support kids fighting cancer. William raised over $700 for this very worthy cause, with the fundraiser raising over $13,000 collectively.
Thanksgiving for Thousands
Brian and Linda recently volunteered for packing food boxes for an event called "Thanksgiving for Thousands" sponsored by Mountaire Farms in Selbyville, DE. Brian and Linda were part of a team that filled 10,000 boxes of holiday food (both Thanksgiving and Christmas boxes were filled) for local needy families who were unable to afford the full meal.

Schooley Mitchell consultant Tim Ross recently worked with the Summit Club of Flower Mound. The group served 7200 hotdogs and drinks to participants of the Lewisville ISD Back to School Fair. In addition to the free food and drinks, over 3000 students were given school supplies, immunizations, eye-screenings and many other necessities they needed to begin their school year.

Mickey Pendergast recently sponsored a hole at the Hole in One Shootout to benefit Collicutt Siding Golf Club’s junior golf program. Its program is one of the largest in Canada with over 1,000 kids participating each week and they are currently raising money to build a 3-hole golf course exclusively for youth.

Entrepreneurial Arts and Community Project
Dave Tankersley recently volunteered to be a judge at his local high school’s inaugural entrepreneurial arts and community projects competition. Dave enlisted the help of four fellow BNI members to assist with judging, and the students did a great job creating and presenting their impressive projects.
Michiana Shop & Greet - Pitch to the Sharks
Jerry Sarno recently participated in the annual Michiana Shop & Greet for the third year. He was the Lead Shark in the “Pitch to the Sharks” competition, where 24 entrepreneurs vied for $250 in grand prize money by giving their best elevator pitch to panel of 5 prominent business people.
Animal Friends
Marc Schwalb and his wife Amy recently represented Animal Friends by volunteering at the Healthy Pet Day fair in Wexford, Pennsylvania. The pair operated the information booth, and helped raised funds for Animal Friends by playing games like Plinko and raffling off baskets full of goodies.
Rotary Club - New Member

Canadian Cancer Society - Service Award
Neil Hostein was recently recognized for ten years of service with the Canadian Cancer Society. During Daffodil Month in April, Neil canvases door to door and sells daffodils outside of his local bank or supermarket to help raise funds for this important cause.
